Eurotech: 5.2M€ orders for edge AI systems for level 5 autonomous vehicles

Research on unmanned vehicles resumes after automakers stopped investing two years ago to reposition budgets on electrification

Amaro (Italy), May 10th, 2022 – Eurotech, a leading provider of Edge Computing solutions, announces that it has received orders from two customers totaling €5.2M for high-performance “Edge AI” hardware systems that will be used in experiments for level 5 autonomous vehicles, i.e., capable of operating in total autonomy without any human support. Deliveries of these systems will begin in the third quarter of 2022. Approximately €3.6M is expected to be delivered by the end of 2022, with the remaining €1.6M to be delivered in the first half of 2023. Due to existing confidentiality agreements, no further details have been disclosed.
