Linux Embedded Engineer (Engineering)

The candidate should have a solid hands-on experience with the Linux operating system including Kernel and device driver development. In addition to assembling and maintaining Linux distributions for Eurotech’s M2M/IoT embedded products, the candidate will actively contribute to the evolution of the Eurotech Linux offering including state-of-the-art security and manageability. The engineering and development activities should follow the best industries practices including continuous integration, advanced configuration management and cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Developing embedded Linux distributions, support packages, and device drivers for ARM/x86 products

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Senior Solution Architect (Customer Success)

The primary responsibilities will be to help generate solutions to address and meet client's requirements and support the sales team in presentation of a proposal, to assemble working proofs of concept and technology demonstrators, and to show the capability of Eurotech's equipment and services in the client intended applications.

You will directly support the Sales Team, writing device support and application software under Java and Linux, as well as analytics and dashboarding enterprise code, in support of embedded and Cloud opportunities as required. You will also provide technical support and assistance to customer engineering teams through the design-in phase, increasing the speed of adoption of Eurotech products and reducing the customer’s time to market. As part of our multi-national team, you will manage all sourcing activities of parts, equipment, and materials: develop a sourcing strategy, continuously optimize cost, improve supplier performance, drive innovation and manage risk.

Successful candidates should have a high attention to detail, strong ability to cultivate good relationships with suppliers and procurement experience in the electronics sector.

Responsibilities

  • Help locate and select electronic and electro-mechanical component suppliers
  • Assist in the processing of contract costs
  • Issue requests for quotes/proposals (RFQ/RFP) and select best source consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements. Negotiate and manage long term pricing agreement on critical components
  • Complete purchase requests with domestic and international suppliers by inputting purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and verifying all transactions.
  • Handle correspondence concerning over-shipments, delivery shortages, changes in quantity, delivery dates, and prices and report such changes to the interested parties in a timely manner as require
  • Act as a liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement related problems
  • Monitor supplier performance by ensuring that product is delivered as scheduled and meets specifications; maintaining appropriate files and records of meetings with suppliers to ensure company requirements are met and that supplier is aware of their performance
  • Participate in new project design activities in order to assist in the selection of suppliers in agreement with product/project demands

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of procurement experience including purchasing, inventory control, contract negotiation, supply management, supplier relationships, basics of cost accounting and tracking budget expenses in the electronics sector
  • BS/MS degree or High School diploma in Electronics, Business or a related technical field
  • Strong oral and written skills also in English and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to act independently to determinate methods and procedures on new assignments
  • Ability to respond consistently with a high degree of initiative to resolve issues or complex problems that may arise
  • Efficient organization and time-management skills

We are looking for a dedicated, ambitious and self-driven Strategic Key Account Manager with a hunter attitude, opening doors capability and that will support and drive Customers on the understanding of their needs.

Good skills on communication, strategic perspective, leadership, skilled negotiation, value based selling will be part of the profile together with a result oriented and growth oriented attitude.

Knowledge of the Customer base in one or more of the above mentioned verticals in the German market will be required.

Background knowledge in Machine-to-Machine (M2M) or Internet of Things (IoT) technologies is a plus.
