The BoltCOR 30-17 Virtualization Edition (VE) is a VMware ESXi/vSphere certified version of the BoltCOR 30-17, a fanless, 1U high, short-depth, EN50155 server. It is an extension of the Data Center to the Field, delivering the typical IT environment and user experience in a very rugged and compact form factor that is designed to exceed the requirements of heavy-duty applications, like Rolling Stock.

The BoltCOR 30-17 Virtualization Edition (VE) is a rugged Edge server that bridges IT and OT at the Edge by delivering highly efficient virtualization even in harsh operating conditions.
The BoltCOR 30-17 VE is officially listed in the VMware Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) and is extremely rugged, with no fans nor vents, to ensure reliable operation even under EN50155 TX temperature conditions (up to +85°C) while delivering the same benefits of a typical virtualized Data Center to the Field.
With 24GB of DDR4 ECC RAM, a soldered down Pentium D1519 CPU, dual high reliability 512GB SSDs and an EN50155 S2 class power supply, the BoltCOR 30-17 VE is extremely resilient; truly embedded components, conformal coating, a vent-free design and a sturdy build add extra protection to a compact, 295mm deep, 1U rack-mount chassis.
The BoltCOR 30-17 VE features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and dual GbE interfaces. Factory customization options include internal global cellular modems, up to three modem configurations, and GPS with Untethered Dead Reckoning.

Eurotech Professional Services allow for further personalization, including validation and integration of user-selected expansion modules, with a choice of power supply, memory, storage and I/O subsystems options.
