Our customer needed to connect on-board assets and systems from different manufacturers through MVB (Multi-function Vehicle Bus) protocol. They needed to find the easiest way to create and manage the digital twin of edge assets and edge-to-cloud analytics. All edge computers, that could connect to the cloud and perform local analytics, had to be rail-certified

Enabling advanced video analytics to detect early signs of extreme weather events

Our partner WaterView needed a reliable platform to deploy its AI software on existing IP cameras. This transformed them into smart sensors to detect early signs and anticipate the damages of heavy extreme weather events such as rain and snow, floods, and also wildfires.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND CHALLENGES

WaterView needed a configurable and manageable solution to deploy AI-powered video analytics software on top of container orchestrator. Their solution enables the retrofitting of existing infrastructures of IP cameras and turn them into intelligent sensors. The solution grants secure software OTA (over-the-air) updates, device, and configuration remote management

  • Edge gateways integrated with our IoT Edge Framework ESF (Everyware Software Framework) for simple, plug & play deployment of AI software – up and running in minutes at the edge
  • Everyware Cloud, our Edge Management Platform for secure remote management and over-the-air updates

 

HOW THE CUSTOMER MET THEIR GOALS

We were able to host WaterView’s AI on Docker containers, natively integrated and easily managed by ESF. Integration and remote management efforts have been dramatically reduced: WaterView was able to deploy their solution in days instead of months
