- Applied Data Systems, a global leader in low-power embedded computer systems and a subsidiary of the Eurotech Group, S.p.A., announces today the award of a new contract, with a program value of greater than 1,000,000USD in 2008. For this contract, Applied Data will supply embedded computer systems for next-generation medical analysis devices.
The customer selected Applied Data Systems for this engagement based on previous history of satisfaction, as well as high quality Linux support, specific features, and availability of a high-value embedded computer system. The systems will be based on the Sphere II platform from Applied Data Systems, which uses the Cirrus EP 9315 ARM9 RISC-based processor for full-featured functionality and low power consumption.
