Applied Data Systems (ADS) Awarded over $ 6.M contract

Applied Data Systems, Inc. announced today that it received a $6.1M contract to manufacture a custom, turnkey embedded solution for transportation vehicles.

ADS is developing a custom integrated turnkey solution with an enclosure for the product. ADS' custom BitsyXb product will have a Marvell PXA270 processor and wireless functionality. The new product will feature CDMA and 802.11 technology with GPS and AM/FM radio receivers. Applied Data Systems was selected for its expertise in temperature, vibration and minimal battery drain for vehicle applications, as well as its ability to take full responsibility for a turn-key solution.

Product distribution will start in 2007.
