Applied Data Systems awarded $1.8M contract

Applied Data Systems, Inc., announced today that it has received a $1.8M contract from a company specializing in recreational equipment and ADS will manufacture embedded systems for them. The embedded systems will aid facilities in improving and managing operations, generating new sources of revenue and enhancing the recreational experience. The systems are designed for both static as well as mobile applications.
Applied Data Systems will produce the embedded computer systems with Marvell PXA270 processors with a 2700G graphics accelerator for rich graphics, touchscreen capability, and wireless functionality. The system is battery-operable, deploying ADS' SmartPower technology and minimizing power consumption through speed scaling, chip select operation, and software management.

Product distribution will start in 2007.
