Can I clean the desktop on my Windows CE 5 system?

Yes, you need to create a new folder

\FlashDisk\Desktop

Edit the following registry setting to point the Desktop at this folder

HKLM\System\Explorer\ShellFolders\Desktop
New Value = \FlashDisk\Desktop

Remove the two keys found here

HKLM\Explorer\Desktop

Remove the wallpaper key found here

HKCU\ControlPanel\DeskTop

Finally right click on the TaskBar and tick the autohide button.

Run Savereg and on the next reboot the desktop will be clean.
