Eurotech presents the CPU-1482 and CPU-1484: powerful Single Board Computers featuring the 1.4GHz Pentium® M processor

Amaro (Udine, Italy) 15th February 2008. Eurotech has released the CPU-1482 and the CPU-1484. Both these RoHS compliant high performance CPU modules are available in standard (0 to +60° C) or extended (-40 to +85°C) operating temperature range versions.

These highly reliable modules have been developed for demanding mobile applications that require operations in harsh environmental conditions prone to shocks, vibrations and temperature extremes. The unique structural heat sink evens out the temperature of all critical components on the board, including processor, chipset and DDR memory. This solution guarantees reliable operation over the standard and extended temperature ranges without requiring other active cooling systems. All extended temperature range CPU modules are tested and qualified individually.

The CPU-1482 has 8 USB2.0 ports and one Fast Ethernet interface (100/10Mbps).
The CPU-1484 integrates one Gigabit Ethernet interface (1000/100/10Mbps), one Fast Ethernet interface (100/10Mbps) and 4 USB2.0 ports.

Both the CPU-1482 and CPU-1484 are fitted with the Intel® Pentium® M 1.4GHz, 2MB L2 cache, 400MHz FSB. This offers the best combination of high performance computing features with minimal power consumption.

The modules come with 512MB DDR, 266MHz (PC2100) of system memory, soldered onboard, and feature a high performance LVDS interface that can be directly connected to modern high-resolution LCD panels.

Other available connections to the external world include: a Fast Ethernet interface (10/100Mbps), 2 Serial ports, Analog VGA outputs, 1 AC97interface, Keyboard and Mouse connectors and an IDE ATA 100 Controller that supports IDE Flash device (Disk-On-Module, Compact Flash and Flash Disk).

The CPU modules are compatible with Linux, Windows XP Embedded and Windows CE. Full support for Watchdog management and a Real Time Clock (external backup battery required) is provided and can be customized to match specific customer needs.

The BIOS is fully re-programmable onboard and can be easily customized and upgraded to match specific customer requirements. Set-up parameters are stored in non-volatile Flash memory to enable the module to operate without a battery and to avoid corruption of set up data in the field.
