Le schede del tipo PCI Express (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) sono definite anche con la dicitura PCIe, o PCI-E, e sono, in genere, utilizzate come add-on cards per sistemi basati su motherboard. Esse includono schede del tipo single board computer (SBC) oppure bridge boards.
