Java Component of Everyware™ Software Framework

ESF's Java is a highly optimized Java ME Java virtual machine. The Java virtual machine (JVM) included is IBM's J9 2.4 that is CDC1.1/Foundation 1.1 compliant and a Sun compatible Java ME VM. For those applications requiring a Java SE Enviroment, Eurotech provides the Apache 'Harmony' class library.


As part of our OSGi framework, ESF Foundation Components and Industry Value Add components offer a number of OSGi bundles providing low level access to our boards individual features including GPS devices, cellular modems, GPIO chips, and serially connected devices. Some of these bundles include native JNI code where appropriate.
