The A6pci1108 board is a CompactPCI VME bus bridge board that can be used in combination with a hybrid system rack to configure a system that mixes CompactPCI and VME buses.
It is designed to enables the CPU board on the CompactPCI side to access the I/O board on the VME bus.
CompactPCI-VME Interfaces
It is equipped with CompactPCI J1 and VME bus P1 connectors and it has 6U size and single slot width. A24 and A16 space of the VME bus can be directly accessed from the CompactPCI bus side
It is equipped with a Byte swap function that supports the endian difference between buses and with a function for buffering to write data from the CompactPCI to the VME bus.
An interrupt can be issued to the CompactPCI side in accordance with VME bus interrupt line status.
It is equipped with FIFO for communication between the buses to allow mutual interrupts to be issued.
It has a VME bus system controller function and it features a shared memory that is accessible from both the CompactPCI and VME bus.
