The CPU-1432 is an Embedded Pentium-like Computer in PC/104-Plus form factor. The peripherals integrated on board are: SVGA, two Serial ports and parallel port, Fast Ethernet controller, IDE, Keyboard, Mouse, one USB 1.0 and one AC97 Audio Sound Port. The module is built around the Geode GX1 processor and can be equipped with 64 or 128MB of soldered DRAM. The BIOS is located in Flash Eprom and is re-programmable on-board. The set-up parameters are saved on the same Flash allowing the module to operate without a battery.
The CPU-1432 includes a video accelerator that drives both LCD-TFT and CRT monitors. The module supports SSD (Solid State Disk) IDE devices such as DOM, CompactFlash and ATA Flash that function like HDD units in rugged conditions where standard devices cannot operate reliably. Other peripherals available on board are: the Floppy disk controller multiplexed with the parallel port, Real Time Clock and Watch Dog. The module requires a single +5V only.

EMBEDDED ENHANCED BIOS:
? The Flash-BIOS has a capacity of 1 Mbyte, 384KB of which are used for the BIOS and its extensions. The remaining part of 640KB can be used as Read-Only Disk and to store the OS and the Used Programs/Data.

? Set_Up in Flash in order to avoid Set_Up corruption in field.
? Virtual Peripheral Support (V.P.S.): this mode allows to bootstrap from the parallel or serial ports and redirect Keyboard, Video, Floppy Disk on the serial/parallel ports before booting the Operating System. It is also possible to redirect any of these peripherals as default setting.
