Applied Data Systems Wins Over $3 Million Follow-on Contract with Cadec Global for Transportation Application

4th-Generation Embedded Computer System Delivers Global Positioning, Routing, and Efficiency Monitoring Capabilities to Fleet Management Companies



Columbia, Md., October 8, 2007 -Applied Data Systems, a leading supplier of embedded computer systems and a member of the Eurotech Group, S.p.A, announces today the award of a follow-on contract valued at over 3 Million USD from fleet management provider Cadec Global. Cadec, a long-time customer of Applied Data Systems, is using a custom-developed, PXA 270-based low-power embedded computer system from Applied Data Systems in its newly launched PowerVue Onboard Computer

Cadec's fleet management solutions measure driver performance, monitor critical safety and compliance aspects, optimize fuel consumption and accelerate delivery times. The company is renowned for its open and extensible platform, which can be easily customized to solve the most vexing fleet management challenges. Its new PowerVue product combines the most advanced onboard computer system with a web-based, enterprise-class data management application. This enables PowerVue to translate vast amounts of fleet data collected from each vehicle into actionable information that can be leveraged throughout the supply chain.
